Pros

The sales guys do pretty well for themselves, so it's not a bad choice if you're a salesperson, I guess.

Cons

Owners are incredibly stingy and are INCREDIBLY strict and rigid. Not just "have high expectations" - they micromanage the crap out of us. And they very clearly don't care at all about offering basic employee comforts. There's not even a basic water cooler - if you want water, drink tap water. Personal space heaters are not allowed even if it's freezing cold in the building. Things like that. The owners have a "treat your (non-sales) employees like misbehaving children no matter how well they're doing" approach that makes it a miserable place to work, even though the work itself is fine.

I worked in Oakland too and can tell you the company is nothing like this now! The environment is much more flexible and we have great snacks and a water cooler too!

Pros

Working for any other company becomes an easy thing to do. Giving 2 weeks notice and leaving was a very relieving experience (never felt that good about leaving any company)

Cons

Like someone else said, this place reminds you of "Office Space". Horrible benefits, bad pay, idiotic policies, micromanagement, favoritism, no room for advancement.

Different people can have very different experiences in the same company, and even in the same office of that company. Our employee survey results definitely tell a different story. I hope you found a position that meets your needs.

Snacks. People. Convenient locations. Should not require twenty words if there are not twenty pros. Out of pros. There are few.

Only one manager asked one employee to share a review because people who are unhappy are more likely to post than happy people, and was hoping for some balance. That manager realizes that that was a mistake. Many companies ask their employees to write reviews but we no longer do that. And as the whole HR department for 180+ employees in two countries, I agree that an HR Team would be great!
