Epic Internship Review

Pros

I really liked the work environment, always working with different teams and being exposed to the different aspects in the IT department. The people here are very nice, there is a specific room designed for interns, and the people here are very friendly. It is a large company but people from the higher ups are friendly and always willing to help out.

Cons

A lot of old legacy system that is very painful to get rid of. Communication is not very good, it might take days to get an update back on an email. Some very key communication issues between upper management and employees.

Pros

The Education Partnership at InComm is great place to get real working experience. This program has mentor opportunities with Directors and/or VPs. This programs allows college students the opportunity to intern in their field of interest to get the experience needed for career opportunities at InComm and other related companies. This program is dynamic, and I would recommend this program to any self driven college student that wants to experience enterprise problems and their resolutions.

Cons

Although InComm retains a large percentage of their interns, there may not be any open position available for interns in their desired field.

Great place for college interns

Pros

The internship program is really good for college students looking to learn new skills, gain real world experience and networking opportunities. The internship is year round, 20 hours a week and you are located in the downtown Atlanta headquarter. The pay is lower than other IT internships in the Atlanta area but the exposure you gain is invaluable. Interns do a rotation every 3-6 months working on new teams. As a student, you learn pretty quickly which jobs you like and which ones you don't like. If you are a high performer you may get a full time job offer upon graduation. The transition from intern to FTE is seamless because you are given real projects as an intern. I would recommend InComm to any college student looking for an immersive internship experience beyond the normal summer internships.

Cons

I can't think of any at the moment.
