Pros

Great people and work life balance. Lot to learn and contribute to if you are on right project. Good opportunities for moving between projects. Hard work is recognized if you have right manager.

Cons

You can work till bone and not get any recognition if you don't know right people. Lot of hardworking folks and then there are people who get to certain level and sail there for years without real contribution. Managers well aware of this are scared to take action costs them to loose lot of good people.

No Career Path

Pros

The recruitment team do an excellent job recruiting minorities.

Cons

PROS do not have established career paths leaving many VERY SMART individual contributors feeling as if we are in dead-end jobs. Many department-level managers, directors, and senior directors do not have the skills or experience to be in the positions that they are in. Unfortunately career longevity and professional growth at PROS is dependent on who you know, socialize with, or are related to. This system of operating has created a culture which breeds favoritism and negates diversity & inclusion with regards to leadership positions across the organization.

Pros

PROS has flexible hours, gives you the opportunity to work remotely in most positions, and supports a good work-life balance for most teams. We have incredibly smart people here, so there is always someone to learn from. There are many employee-led events like Chinese New Year, a Diwali celebration, and a Home Brew contest.

Cons

There is a lack of diversity in upper management, but it does seem like they are working on the issue. I've seen people that are not good people managers get promoted to being people managers. This is not great for keeping talent. While most people have good work-life balance, I have seen some teams get very overloaded for extended periods of time. Again, this is not great for keeping talent.

No career path

Pros

You'll work with some of the smartest and nicest people you've ever met. At the worker bee level, people are collaborative, committed and truly team-oriented. Many departments offer opportunity to work remotely in positions above entry level. Well-stocked kitchens.

Cons

No career path due to limited growth in many areas. Many good people have left the company recently because of this. Company eliminated formal performance reviews, so your compensation and bonus is completely at the discretion of your manager with no transparency into what's behind the numbers. Senior leadership lacks a clear strategy for growing the business; instead rolls out a different set of initiatives and buzzwords every few months to see what sticks without giving thought to how to execute. Lots of politics.

Good people

Pros

Really enjoy the majority of my coworkers. Most are humble, friendly, and skilled. They don't over exert you but challenge you to bring your best. Lots of people to learn from, and you're not micromanaged. I've been here less than 2 years but have been insulated from any of the politics so far. I imagine there is some in other areas, but hard work generally shows. All my managers and superiors have been kind and open. You can walk up to anyone including the CEO and have a conversation. For a company as large as it is, it is evolving and pushing envelope. One of few companies using ReactJS, changing their pricing structure, change organization structure, they simply try things and encourage you to too.

Cons

Not everyone gets bonuses. I think the way they assess people could be better. Could have some more events, but usually related to your specific group

Pros

Good salary(if you are a permanent citizen) Liberal with Work from home (see cons) Getting to work with some of the best technical ones(i worked at several places before) Getting to work in the latest technology and software out there Feedback is well appreciated Parking is free. Come early though to get a parking under the roof Snacks fruits and soda are free Good company to settle down with working partner Health insurance is far lesser than what you pay at other so called big companies There are very helpful and technical people. You have to identify and get the help from them

Cons

If you are an immigrant you will be paid much lower. And don't forget this company has too many levels and they don't easily promote if you aren't good in socializing and political games. Beware : QA team has too many ladies playing loud mouth that are supported by people speaking same language and zero technical skills but who have the capability to put you in bad light If you ask for help from a wrong person you will be doomed and dusted across teams :p Work from home is available based on your rapport with manager and management and not the need. I was denied permission to work for less than a month while some are working years together from home(ohh they aren't the best in class) If you are not good in estimating task time , socialize but do a lot of work this isn't a place for you. You will be cornered, look down upon or worse won't grow beyond senior or lead. All in all this place is good for getting your skills updated and not for people who do work. It's a great place if you can organize and delegate stuff. You are the best fit

Pros

I have been in software sales for over 25 years. I have to say that this is the place to be in the technology space. The orientation conducted by Aylen is by far the best I have ever experienced! The class was so well put together. It was engaging, organized, and extremely well presented. I am the most excited I have ever been in my career to work at PROS. If you want to be with a growing, talented, and exciting place to work...look no further. This place has it all.

Cons

Absolutely None! I mean that. The company, people, and culture are outstanding. I have to write 20 words about cons...so, no cons here.
