Pros

As a job coming out of college, PROS is a good starter place to work at. It can also be a good place to have a career. Very diverse and inclusive. Average benefits. The work itself is niche as you always deal with their custom pricing front-end apps, but within and backend it can test your technical knowledge (scripting, sql, some programming) and communication skills with customers. Due to Corona, Professional Services has gone WFH, so if your a selective introvert, there is that.

Cons

Training is very sink or swim. Early on is a quick 2ish week program, and supplementary Computer-Based Training about the products. If you aren't very technical, slow on the uptake, and don't know how to ask for help, you will get left behind (or get dumped on the QE team at best). You do get to shadow someone, but majority of the time they are always busy. When it comes to salary, it is below market what my degree should starts at, and also a bit below market other Consultant/Analyst type jobs my friends have landed. WFH can make you feel stranded. My light bill has gone up almost two-fold since staying home. At least provide a credit for our Internet bill like you do Cell phone service!

Pros

DEI efforts. This company celebrates people from all walks of life. Free lunch on Wednesdays

Cons

You will be so incredibly overworked here. Be prepared for a 50+ hour work week to be normalized. Also, to say there is a learning curve is a gross understatement. It’s incredibly difficult to learn all that you need to know; even employees who have been with the company for years still struggle with answers on occasion. Lack of training partnered with unrealistic work expectations makes this position an absolutely miserable one. Not to mention it’s extremely difficult to take time off; even if you want to take time months in advance, expect to provide a detailed plan for your work to be covered and multiple levels of approval. This is a toxic work environment that is constantly in a state of disarray.

Pros

Though sparse, there were some kind people that tried to reach out and help with the onboarding process.

Cons

The onboarding experience was poor. Lots of busy work with not a lot of opportunity to speak with team members about what we were learning. The account planning and selection process was poorly planned. When I got done with training, it was nearly impossible to get any traction on getting opportunities established with the sales support team. Wasn't able to get approval to hunt certain deals based on the client. There wasn't enough support for the sales reps.

Pros

Great people. Good career track for lower-level employees. Good benefits. Good community. Most of the time, compensation is competitive. Lots of work flexibility to accommodate employee needs (e.g., work hours, remote vs. office). Good cash position of the company, which means there are resources available for growth. CEO is generally very approachable by anyone in the organization, more than is common among other companies of this size. CEO is genuinely a good person. There are lots of good ideas constantly flowing through the many good employees of the company. It's mostly a good culture. Good effort on promoting diversity and equality in the workplace.

Cons

Top company executives seem too worried about earnings calls and appeasing investors in the short term. Seems to be a lack of real strategic vision that can be realistically executed. Way too much turnover in sales and among executives. Although the company has recently implemented management and leadership training, it is not clear that top management always follows the advice given in the training. There seems to be too much blaming rather than solution finding. While they've been making an effort, the company seems to have trouble hiring and retaining a good mix of qualified female executives at the highest levels. Product innovation is extremely slow, and product development seems to always be playing catch-up.

Pros

Product/software is top-notch. Have strong traction and customer base in the airline industry.

Cons

Initial training and on boarding was too short and ineffective. Need to add functionality so it works better in other vertical markets.

Pros

Overall company values are great with focus on culture Great products that are exciting Benefits are good Training opportunities for people leaders are good Diversity and Inclusion is a focus with engaging ERGs Share in the upside of the company is decent Embraces remote working and increasingly so after COVID

Cons

Growing pains have taken focus away from company values and metrics seem to be taking the company to 1980's where productivity was more important than creativity Salaries are below tech counterparts if employee is not located in Texas Not very risk tolerant, when people want to move around and learn new things, my experience is that not a lot of support is provided but expectations are high Biz ops is evolving given the growth of the company, and all the support systems (training in new systems and clear goals) are not in place for the actual operation to support the increased requirements (proper training in systems such as WD and consistent set of expectation) Certain areas of the company have experience a revolving door of leadership
