Pros

You can work anywhere in the world off your own device for this job since they don’t provide you with a computer or labtop. Email and live chat no phone if you don’t want to be on the phone team.

Cons

For the amount of work you do daily and volume of customers you talk to via chat, the job doesn’t pay enough. This job is for young people out of college or someone who doesn’t pay a lot of monthly bills. Quince has a lot of product issues where a lot of customers complain about quality, not receiving items after they are delivered, items missing, items damaged/defective etc.

Pros

You will learn a tremendous amount working at Quince. Everyone who works at Quince is passionate about what they do and want to see Quince succeed. Beyond impressed by the A+ talented team that is growing Quince to an extremely successful business. Self-starters will thrive at Quince. Good pay and the unlimited PTO is really nice. Working at Quince is highly dependent on your personality. If you thrive on fast-paced data driven decisions you will thrive. If not I would take a second to reevaluate working here.

Cons

People at Quince work hard. They stay longer than 8 hours and sometimes work on the weekends. This is very dependent on the team that you work on and what manager you get. Make sure to ask in your interview about work life balance to your specific manager. However company wide you will be expected to put in a lot of work. If that is not for you then this company is not the best for you. Company is built like a sports team. Every day you are fighting for your spot on the team. A lot of pressure but very rewarding. Like many companies, Quince is here to make a profit. All of their decisions are based off of profitability even if that means putting that decision in front of sustainability or inclusivity.

Pros

Quince is one of those places where the work is real, fast-paced, and very impact-driven. As an EM, I’ve been part of core system builds that directly affect customer experience and internal efficiency. What stands out is the autonomy and you’re not just managing a roadmap, you're influencing it. Engineers get end-to-end visibility, and leadership encourages engineering to push back and shape solutions collaboratively. The team is lean, but that’s also the opportunity. If you're someone who likes building from 10 to 100, working in ambiguous spaces, and making quick decisions, it's a very rewarding place. You get to work closely with product, design, CX, ops, logistics and finance all in the same Slack threads sometimes which helps you grow beyond just engineering. The pace can be intense, and sometimes you feel the lack of processes, especially when onboarding new folks or managing cross-team expectations. But the intent is strong, and people genuinely care about solving real problems.

Cons

Processes are still evolving things like onboarding, documentation, and project handoffs can be inconsistent. Benefits are basic, especially health insurance. No dental or vision coverage as of now. Office facilities are functional but minimal. No gym or recreation space yet, and food/snacks could use an upgrade. Cross-team alignment takes effort, as priorities can shift quickly in a fast-moving org.
