Pros

The people at Reputation are great. Dom the VP of the department engages with everyone and makes people feel welcomed and appreciated. He tries to make the job as fun as he can and tries to put people in positions to succeed. The managers are all friendly and try to help anyway they can. The company itself has a start up feel and does have a good product. Reputation is very well known in the healthcare, auto dealerships and property management companies and has added some pretty big and well known brands under its portfolio of clients. Senior leadership is focused on growing even in this poor economy. The office is a fun environment, everyone is friendly and the employees actually care about each other.

Cons

Economic downturns have made it hard for the company to open new roles so growth has been stagnant which isnt the companies fault and it is temporary but does suck for now. The lead handling process could be improved and we need more material to send to prospects to build value as to why they would want to meet with us.

Pros

It's National Leave A Review Day, so I feel like this is a good time to share my honest experience and provide feedback to a company that fosters an amazing culture, work/life balance and a positive sense of autonomy with a "you get out what you put into it" spirit. I am so thankful to launch my career in tech with a team that has helped me build my confidence and given me the tools and knowledge I need to succeed in my role and beyond. The management team works hard to hold an equal level of accountability across every team member, and rewards those who are willing to put in the work to provide results.

Cons

There's been a lot of changes recently similar to many tech companies in the last couple months. Although the culture is great and it's a fun team, there has become a sense of comfortability and entitlement in a performance-based role with a select few individuals on the team.

Pros

Throughout my 2 years at Reputation, I have truly never been happier at a company. Whether it's the day-to-day job, the people here, or simply the product itself, I'm beyond grateful to have found this opportunity. If you are a person willing to actually put the work in, show up each day with motivation, grit, and the willingness to learn from others, the leadership team will do everything they can to help you grow in your career. We are consistently given a wide variety of incentives based on performance (team events/outings, leaving early when we hit our goals, giftcards, etc.) and the managers always ready to celebrate our wins accordingly.

Cons

With the current state of the economy, it's only natural that businesses (especially those within the tech industry) find ways to do more with less. Unfortunately, during these uncertain times you can't be attached to a timeline in which you will see upward career growth and those decisions are not always up to the business, but rather dictated by the state of the economy. These situations tend to put leadership in the "hot seat", however, given these difficult times of lay-offs and budget cuts, I feel our leadership team has handled these business decisions in the best possible manner. It's never an easy decision, but at the end of the day, we have to remember this is a business. My advice to anyone looking to join a sales team (especially an SDR role), is that you must be adaptable, willing to collaborate and learn from others, and most importantly - willing to have tough conversations with your leaders about your goals and what truly motivates you. In this role you need to be patient with growth, (but know there IS a light at the end of the tunnel) and leave your feelings of entitlement at home. Just keep in mind....the grass is not always greener on the other side.
