Pros

Some of my coworkers were really nice

Cons

Finally someone has dared to write a negative review. I know of a bunch of people who’ve been fired from TherapyNotes, so I *highly* doubt the other negative reviews are all from one person. As of a few years ago, employees were covered 100% for health insurance, but there is no coverage for dependents or spouses. Coverage starts after THREE MONTHS. You are given two weeks of PTO to start, but you accrue one week every six months. Thus, technically, you can’t take PTO for the first six months. The number of holidays is on the very low end. Working from home wasn’t usually allowed. As for the rest, If you look at the unprofessional response to other negative reviews (and possibly this one after I post it), you can see what you’re dealing with. To be honest, I enjoyed the work I did at TherapyNotes, and there were some genuinely nice employees. There were also some snakes in the grass. The CEO is quick to fire people, with no warning. The office is “open concept,” but without any kind of professional design input. The desks are just lined up in rows. If I wanted to concentrate, people walking in my peripheral vision or having conversations was distracting. I didn’t see people working in the conference rooms; yes, they were available; but no, as a practical matter I think working in them would be silently frowned upon. They had a vague and unrealistic idea of what they wanted me to accomplish while I was there. Had I known the undisciplined way decisions and plans were made, I wouldn’t have taken the job. There are no restaurants within walking distance, so many people go to out to lunch or to grab takeout. The restaurants in the area are mediocre and expensive, in my opinion. Some of the folks working there are genuinely happy, but it’s not for everyone.

"Finally someone has dared to write a negative review" - It's not like there are repercussions for writing an anonymous review, so I'm not sure what this reviewer means. I'm surprised they think our responses are unprofessional, they certainly don't mean to be. They are meant to clarify things for potential new hires who are reading the disgruntled review of someone who was fired for not working out. Plus we've had some duplicate reviews posted from the same person. For as long as we've offered health insurance we've covered 100% of the individual, but not dependents. This has never changed. There is a 60 day waiting period, after which you start on the first of the month. It's a reasonable and generous policy. We've considered including something for dependents in the future. We are extremely flexible with time off. We allow working from home quite frequently due to bad weather, if sick, or even to work around things like doctor's appointments or contractors coming to your house. We rarely turn down PTO requests, even during your first 6 months. I'm sorry if this reviewer felt uncomfortable asking for time off. Regarding sudden firings, we gave a lot of feedback to a person who was an expensive employee providing insufficient value to the company after 6 months of employment. (Probably this reviewer) This employee was nice person, and it was an unfortunate thing to have to do, but this was a carefully made decision made after consulting with many people on the team. We worked with this person for a couple weeks hoping to improve things, but ultimately it didn't work out. The CEO doesn't make sudden firing decisions without careful consideration. That couldn't be further from the truth. The open floor plan is not for everyone. Most people like it. No one is frowned upon for working in meeting rooms. That's why we have them. I'm not sure why that was this reviewer's impression and I hope someone didn't incorrectly give them that information. There are so many meeting rooms in our plans specifically so that we can allow for this. "They had a vague and unrealistic idea of what they wanted me to accomplish" - We don't micro-manage, particular a senior member of the team. YES - I totally agree that it would be great to have restaurants that are walking distance! We used to but sadly it closed. But we do have a few restaurants that we drive to regularly that are great, like MaGerk's which is only 5 minutes away. Anthony's Pizza is delicious. Best of luck to this reviewer's future endeavors. I'm sorry they felt it necessary to write this review.

Pros

Free hot and cold drinks. Work from home supplies are excessively high quality. Workforce is very diverse and inclusive.

Cons

Intentionally hire more than they actually need so they can keep the best (whom they proceed to give more duties for very little extra pay) and fire the rest before they have to pay for benefits. Job culture is incredibly cliquey, and if you aren't in the in-group, you'll quickly find yourself fast-tracked out of the company. Company demands you to arrive before your scheduled time and stay late with no compensation, potentially for hours if a customer has a difficult question or simply refuses to hang up. Training takes over a month. They claim that this is because they want you to be an 'expert' of the software, but the truth is that the website is overly complicated with a baffling layout and dated appearance. Have many questionable business practices that made me wonder about the future of the company; namely playing fast and loose with HIPAA with no shredders for patient information, bad update rollout policies (do not alert userbase of upcoming updates, nor do test batches before rollout), and general wasteful spending (the break room is kitted with about a dozen arcade cabinets no one seems to use, and each employee is given a gaming-grade monitor for working from home when a cheaper, smaller monitor would serve the job just as well, and be more convenient for most people's desks).

Pros

- Flexible PTO / Scheduling - WFH - Supplies provided - Drinks if you forget to bring something - Nice management (The actual managers are nicer than their 2nd in commands...........Odd)

Cons

- Mid Level Supervisors can be condescending. They either won't answer you for help or become annoyed that you are asking them for help. - Can be a cliquish atmosphere. Typically, everyone refers their friends and it kind of turns into high school 2.0 if you attempt to socialize with your Co-workers. - They prepare you 50/50 for the job in training. You don't really learn much until your out of training. The training feels more designed for people with a background in insurance already. Additionally, this is across the company as a whole. A lot of the "Test" they produce, the people who make them dont even know the answers sometimes. This is difficult because how am I supposed to do my job if the people that are supposed to help me dont know what they are doing? That has been a common occurrence that some reps chat about. When asking for help either one supervisor gives you a completely wrong and off topic answer or one just doesn't respond at all, now with a customer on the phone what are the reps supposed to do? - They say the pay is competitive but it can be better. You get hired to work as a Sucess Representative. Once your good in success, you MUST get cross trained for NO EXTRA MONEY. I hope this is something they consider in the future; you are essentially adding more work for... no money. Snack and drinks are not going to pay the bills and prevent burn out. - They treat this more like a family than a job. I understand, but this causes unnecessary tension/ co-workers thinking they know you. Some people do not treat work as a family, simply here to earn money. - This may not be the same for others, but I definitely feel "At the bottom of the totem pole" being in success. That statement is not wrong BUT there shouldn't be a reason reps pick up on these things. %99 of people stay with TN due to the support. Even on call they state the software isn't the most compatible but they like having a human to talk to. Pretty sure if there wasn't support, TN would not be AS popular. Treat your reps better!!!!! and pay them more of course
