Pros

Benefits are ok. 401k is a good match.

Cons

If you are into high school antics, co-workers sleeping with management (and the company doing nothing about it), .30 or less raises a year, favoritism galore, being treated like you're a preschooler and being lied to constantly- THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! No respect whatsoever for this company and those that work there and run the place. If you have prior experience and present it to them it goes in one ear and out the other. Jobs are rewarded to friends, family or those management are sleeping with. Have received ONE RAISE since starting there. An increase in wage due to the Department of Defense contract stating the wage had to be met was presented to us as our raise even though we worked diligently all year long prior to this. VERY UNFAIR PRACTICES BY THIS COMPANY. their Core Practices ARE A JOKE and never practiced. Training you go through regarding practices are never followed. Team Leads have NO CLUE how to be leaders and inspire others to do better. If you enjoy being "chained" to your desk for 8+ hours and are expected to take no bathroom breaks and possibly give up your lunch, THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU. Majority of TLs received their jobs in an unfair way, most of them not even understanding the business they're in. I have had numerous high paying jobs prior to moving to FL. This job is pathetic.

Pros

- Great office environment and corporate culture. - Outstanding feeling of belonging. - Full work-load. - Amazing benefit options. - Paid-time off for new-hires was greater than expected.

Cons

- Training is a little slow. - Many employees are virtual. I prefer face-face interactions.

Pros

Depending on what department you were in you could work from home which was nice. I started out as a pharmacy tech and was able to move up in the company.

Cons

Pharmacy benefits with this company are a joke. The home delivery system is broken. My neighbor has tried for weeks to get his medications but ESI can't seem to get the drugs delivered to his house, then they tell him he has to pay AGAIN for the replacement of the drugs that THEY lost in shipping. My spouse had lots of problems getting the monthly medications delivered on time. It's major drama calling in to get a person who can assist you and when you do finally connect to a live person all you get is bad attitude. Management is out of touch with its employees because they have too many reporting to them. Supervisors were overloaded with work and no work/life balance. Year end reviews were a joke. You could walk on water in your position but management is forced to put employees in a less favorable status whether it was true or not. Mid year reviews were never completed by mid year but usually by September. Year End reviews weren't discussed until at least March. Training of any kind was lackluster at best. Constant fear of being let go. George Paz.

Pros

Great Benefits, PTO, Health Care, Pay is about average if not in IT. Typically great management at the middle level. Some work from home, flex schedule, and overall a very Professional environment as long as your not in the call center.

Cons

Awful development opportunities. No training - consistently baptism by fire at ESI. Though the middle management level seems to be of high quality, the upper management; typically the Director and Sr. Director level leaders are really poor. There is a major disconnect there. Sr Leadership to include VP's and up will give one message, that's not followed by upper management, but that's then followed by middle management. Depending on where you will work in this company and your leadership will completely change the Pros and Cons with this company. Overall poor work/life balance but again it all depends on where you'll work.

So far so good

Pros

Work from home. They provide the equipment such as computer and phone. Unlimited (for the most part) overtime. Ability to accrue a lot of PTO. Different insurance options with HRA, HSA and FSA. Great trainers and supervisors. Weekly pay.

Cons

The training program is 8 weeks, which seems like a long time, but its not nearly enough for as much information as you are expected to learn. The hourly pay should be higher for the amount of work that is required. This is probably the most stressful job I've had (but its still a good job, don't get me work) but one of the lowest paying jobs I've had.

Pros

Fast paced roles. Hard working people. Intellectually challenging (in some/ many roles). Going places- I believe we will always grow and overcome market challenges. People seem passionate about the place and serving clients and members. In my department, we work hard and hit deadlines but so have flexibility. New CEO driving a real culture change with emphasis on growing people, training and development, candor, organic growth.

Cons

Very large- you as a person can get lost. They don't yet have great cross department talent management practices but I hear that is a new focus. Hierarchical leadership style but that's changing to be more flat under Tim. Some silos and lack of alignment between competing objectives but again I see that changing.

Disappointing

Pros

They allow work at home for the technology department most of the time.

Cons

Morale is terrible, they do horrible job letting employees know they care. We are constantly under staffed, and it seems like the solution is additional micro-managing. Rather then hiring a decent technical personal, at a reasonable salary, they bring in inexperienced junior people, which isn't inherently bad, people have to start somewhere, but they refuse to give people quality training and coaching to get them to be senior level people.

Pros

Thus far, ESI is a great company. I am in the beginning phase of training and I must say the training is second to none. ESI seems very organized and eager to keep their business going by hiring top notch individuals. Very very engaged management and an awesome President. I look forward to advancing my career at ESI.

Cons

Personal cons for me at the time would only be schedule, but being that work from home it should be no problem working around it.

Pros

Senior leadership is under a transition period. They seem to be concerned about the lack of employee engagement and are trying to change the culture.

Cons

The mid level leadership is lacking training. Therefore some leaders are strong and provide great direction/motivation and opportunities. Others are the complete opposite and are just focused on climbing the ladder. If you are lucky to work for one that is strong, that is great! But there is considerable turn over so the likelihood that they will be there long is not high.

Pros

Employee-oriented with regards to recognition. Good training. Descent management on site.

Cons

No transparency. Old, outdated systems and processes. The company is more important than its employees and members. Employee pay scale well below industry standards.
