Pros

One of the things I love about working for First Command Financial Services is our annual Spirit of Giving campaign. We have fun activities to raise money for the charities we have selected for the year. It is a time full of creative games & creative food all for the purpose of raising money to give to others in need.

Cons

Meeting rooms not designed for hybrid meetings.

Thank you for sharing your experience. At First Command, we are committed to creating and sustaining a culture that inspires our employees and makes them feel appreciated and a part of the First Command family. Employees in our Home Office in Fort Worth, Texas, enjoy an attractive compensation package. Local Advisors set the pay and benefits for their office managers and other support staff professionals in our local offices. In all cases the goal is to attract the best people and reward them for committed service. Thank you again for taking time to share your experience.

Pros

Great flexibility in schedule, valued by leadership, opportunities for growth in either professional development or corporate promotion. Great bonus and incentive programs

Cons

Pay for training is woefully low when becoming a new advisor. Commissions system is a mess. It's overly complicated and due for update.

Thank you for taking time to share some of the benefits of a career as a First Command Financial Advisor. We seek to attract and retain talented people by providing employees and Advisors with opportunities to enhance their professional knowledge, develop leadership skills and grow within the organization. Our Advisors go through an extensive training program designed to equip them to succeed as independent contractors. Some of the benefits of that program include paying new Advisors during the training and licensing period and offering a full array of employee benefits. Through the program, our Advisors learn how to build and grow their own business, serve new clients and provide quality, face-to-face financial coaching. Our Advisors are eligible to earn a strong income through competitive industry commissions on sales of financial products, plus additional annual and deferred compensation. At First Command, we maintain an open-door policy and encourage employees and Advisors to communicate challenges with their leadership. We rely on employee surveys and Glassdoor reviews to gain critical insights and continue to improve, so thank you for your feedback.
