Horrible reputation in the community

Pros

Work hard, and you might get paid a decent amount. They 'pay' for your study materials and licensing, so worst-case scenario, you walk away with a certification.

Cons

Definitely stuck in the times and rely on overly-aggressive sales tactics - selling whole life insurance to people who don't need it. Very much a good old boys' club with no ambition to change their business model. Reputation in the community as 'predatory' and were apparently banned from certain military facilities.

Terrible experience

Pros

Unlimited earning potential. Once you become independent, you can set your own work schedule (within reason).

Cons

Management/Leadership has very little interest in helping new advisors be successful. I was expected to work well over 60 hours per week to included weekends and federal holidays, but I was only compensated based on a company published 40 hour work week. I had very little (none) support from my immediate leadership even after asking for assistance on numerous occasions!

Pros

Fitness Center is nice. Concierge is helpful. Employees/co-workers are nice.

Cons

Does not show value and appreciation for employees. Opportunity for advancement is based on who you know. Self Insured business creates very poor insurance benefits for employees. Lack of "Management" for fear of micro-managing.
