Great CEO but poor experience

Pros

I’m positive that Scott will lead the leadership in the right direction. As much as I wanted to like working here, I didn’t at all. Company is making efforts thru summer fridays and improved benefits and there are a lot of good people here which is good BUT needs tremendous work is leadership between teams, there is not good or consistent communication, structure is missing, not a good onboarding experience, not many events or opportunities to connect with team which makes working just about work, and it gets tiring and burnt out after a while.

Cons

Underpaid for the industry average. Leadership must do a better job of communication and having more support and structure in place for employees. Within a team, each leader should have good skills to provide guidance which was missing, tasks seems very ticketed, unlike other companies I’ve worked for, where communication and solid leadership within all teams was a standard, it’s missing here which doesn’t create a healthy environment, just expected to work and go home and repeat the same cycle. No effort is made by leaders to communicate often, support their professional growth, culture felt all about just get the work done then leave! no work events, feels like you just come to put one’s head down and work. No proper flow or organization, CEO needs to hire more leaders within company capable of leading teams in the right direction to grow.

Many of the things that you have noted are elements that we have been working on and are committed to working on going into the future - better communication, more transparency, improved internal systems and processes, culture, professional development, and the hybrid work environment. Companies who are in significant growth mode often experience these challenges, and these changes take time. While we have made some significant improvements in these areas over the past two years, we will continue to push things forward as we head into the future.

Pros

FTO - Flexible time off. Instead of having to do PTO where you earn it, Legistscript offers flexible time to take off instead. Its very nice for planning things and not stressing about having enough PTO to cover. Flexible work time - They are so understanding about real life and things that happen outside of the workplace. You can easily shift your schedule to go to appointments or if you need a couple of hours to just break and come back. Work - Pleasantly kept busy most of the time! It's really nice to have something to fill the time but not feel overwhelmed or doing more than one person's job. Coming from retail for 15 years, it was nice not to be expected to do 60 hours of work in 40 hours. Salary Pay - No more stressing about making hours or pays being off or shifted. I hated it in retail and having salary pay is so nice. Friendly coworkers/enviroment - It's a very casual and friendly environment! Everyone is willing to help out and we have fun chats about things!

Cons

Again, coming from retail, I don't really have a lot of cons about this place. Legitscript was a really good improvement from my old jobs so I am very satisfied!

Pros

Mission driven organization focused on making the internet safer and more transparent. I really enjoy the people I work with and the ability to work remotely. Great perks such as a monthly stipend to cover work from home or commuting to the office expenses, 100% company paid base level health insurance, great 401k match, annual bonus, flexible time off program. Overall a great place to be.

Cons

No company is perfect but compared to others out there that I have worked at, LegitScript is the type of company I want to work at.
