Pros

As far as the work itself goes, LegitScript is extremely interesting. It is by far the most interesting job I've ever had. You will have opportunities to learn and the skills you gain are very transferable. If you make a reasonable effort there are promotion opportunities within LegitScript as well, though you might have to fight for them. LegitScript's company culture and perks are still very good. It's all remote/hybrid and has been since before the pandemic. Work/life balance is great and you are highly encouraged to take the unlimited PTO offered. By far the best part about working at LegitScript is the people. It's the reason I stayed as long as I did and the reason I had a hard time leaving. Everyone you work with is interesting, funny, and kind. There were times when I felt like I was in college again, working while hanging out with all of my friends.

Cons

One of the biggest cons is salary. The job I left LegitScript for is similar but pays quite a bit more. The way leadership talks about valid salary concerns in meetings comes across as very dismissive. There can be issues with transparency and being unprepared for new clients or programs. Unreasonable expectations and high pressure to deliver without adequate resources are a common problem. That can make the work environment very unpleasant. This is mostly coming from leadership; direct managers tend to be more reasonable here. LegitScript has improved here in someways in recent years, but it is still a big issue.

Thank you for your honest and candid feedback. We appreciate hearing that you enjoyed the people, culture, and perks, especially the generous flex time off program we offer. Thank you for sharing your feedback on your salary concerns. We see it as a big win when employees grow into new roles, whether that is inside LegitScript or outside of our organization. We do take our compensation policy very seriously, ensuring it follows industry best practices to align our salaries with role-based industry benchmarks. We evaluate salaries annually and offer our bonus program and employee perks, to ensure our overall compensation package is competitive. We’re sorry to hear that you felt your experience here ended so negatively. We will continue to invest in technology, people, managers and process improvements to scale in a way that ensures our employees are supported and can maintain a great work life balance. We will definitely look into your particular situation to ensure that others don’t feel the same way. Lastly, we take claims of unethical practices very seriously. Should you believe that the work you were expected to do was unethical, please submit a complaint via our confidential whistleblower platform, linked here. We wish you the best in your new role and hope that it is a more positive experience for you.

Flexible working but at a cost

Pros

Flexible work schedule, WFH options

Cons

Salary too low to live comfortably. Company focuses on large scale and fast growth and development, at the expense of work/life balance and compensation for individual contributors. Execs seem far removed from the work and company mission. No incentives for hard work/lack of merit-based rewards. Limited opportunities to move up in roles.

Thank you for sharing your review. I’m glad that you are appreciative of the flexible work environment that we provide but do recognize that your overall experience has been poor. We are constantly reviewing our compensation strategies to ensure that we are competitive in the market, fair and equitable across our employee base, and also healthy as a business. Last year, to help employees with inflation, we gave a 5% increase across the board, then also did annual increases anywhere from 2-4% additional. We reward employee performance via spot bonuses, a general annual bonus for all positions, a 100% employer paid medical benefit option, immediate 401k vesting, a generous monthly work from home stipend, access to free Orange Theory Fitness and Yoga for Portland based employees, and much more. I’m sorry to hear that doesn’t meet your expectations. I believe that we are very mission oriented as a company and truly try to consider our mission in all decisions that we make. Our entire executive team is in the office every week, multiple times per week, connecting with employees as much as possible. Lastly, I meet with every single new hire and have offered an open door for feedback to ensure our leadership team is connected. I encourage you to set up some time with me as I am happy to hear your feedback directly on how we can better connect with our employees and our mission.
