      Working with clients on financial planning that can have a lasting impact. Ability to control my schedule and calendar. Amazing and positive coworkers. A culture of caring for each other and clients. Uncapped earning potential.

      No being able to help everyone, even when I believe we can make an impact.

      Pros

      Set my own Calendar (take vacation & family events when I want to) Work w clients who value me Stay Connected to the military (w/out being deployed) Compensated fairly (I earn it - I keep it) If not me, then who will take care of our clients? If you are a leader & want it, you can get promoted - the best applicant gets the nod. i.e. more women are in leadership over the past 10 years & I'm here for it!

      Cons

      Fully Commissioned (know that going in) It can feel like "swimming w an iron weight on your feet" but "just keep swimming" The licensing process can be daunting - how bad do you want this?

      A great place to start

      Pros

      Field Staff Employee: First Command is a great place to start if you are hoping to jump into a corporate role. I've been given plenty of opportunity to learn in a positive environment and I know that I am contributing to my team in a way that impacts both clients and the team in a positively.

      Cons

      Little growth for Field employees' who do not plan on being Financial Advisors. Very few ways to work up the ranks if you are not based at the Home Office.
