Thank you for sharing your experience as a First Command Financial Advisor. The mission of the company is incredibly important to our Advisors. They tell us that one of the most compelling elements of this career is the opportunity to serve military personnel and their families in a meaningful way. Four out of five First Command Financial Advisors come from the ranks of veterans and military spouses. We value the career contributions of military spouses, whose understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military makes them ideal for the role of financial coach. We offer portable, rewarding positions that allow military spouses to build careers that fit into their lives. We provide industry-leading training, mentoring, professional development and compensation. It’s why we’ve been recognized as a Military Friendly® Spouse Employer for five years in a row. At First Command, we recognize and appreciate the value of a diverse workforce, and we foster an inclusive environment where feedback is encouraged. Thank you again for taking the time to share your positive experience.

Pros

There is the possibility stay with the company if you relocate; there are jobs available remotely and in office. The things I've learned are transferable to new positions.

Cons

On the job training is frustrating, I can only learn something if the situation arises. Each office is different so there is no consistency if you move to a new location. My personal experience in my specific office, I was underpaid; I made the lowest wage compared to everyone on this site.
