Management & Healthy Lifestyle Benefits

Pros

When you have the right manager fighting for you and the team, everything is possible. A healthy lifestyle is promoted by the company with the gym, exercise class options, and fitness challenges through the year.

Cons

Each management team and style is different. Some departments/ teams are allowed to work from home one or more days. Other teams are not given a work from home option unless there is a personal emergency. I have found that some managers are too involved and do not support their teams to lead nor provide suggestions.

A Careless Company

Pros

You receive free cupcakes on the 3rd Thursday of every month.

Cons

Incomm is a complete train wreck - Especially within Financial Services. I've never seen a management and upper management team with so much lack of knowledge in my life. Incomm's management in FS focuses more on their "bromance" than their employees. Their expectations are absolutely unrealistic. Their lack of empathy towards their employee's bandwidth is unacceptable. FS management has a lack of regard of their employee's knowledge and intelligence is absolutely insulting. There's no opportunity for growth. And you're underpaid for what you do as well.

no leadership, no strategy, no vision

Pros

There are some great people but you've got to work to find them and they don't last. Really interesting technology centric products and services with a lot of potential for growth. They will likely grow despite themselves.

Cons

There is no leadership in this boys club company hence leading to no corporate strategy or individual team strategy. While there are many bright people, leadership is outside of their experience in many ways. Most aren't equipped to manage anyone, are one trick ponies and cross ethical and moral lines continuously. HR is completely incompetent and only works to cover the the companies a** often times setting employees up for failure. Positions aren't fully explained and expectations aren't set but as soon as something, anything goes wrong leadership is only looking for one thing...who can they point the finger at to save their own a**. If you show yourself to be a competent, engaged and thought leader expect to be stifled and gone. You are competition to the incompetent and weak. Take a look at turnover rates and ask about them. They'd like to have you think they are only hiring but turnover is high. The CEO barks a million directions and the staff is forced to jump despite an already overflowing work load and unrealistic expectations. All could be avoided with vision and strategy. InComm buys companies to hide their complete incompetence and lack of vision. Ideas and strategies are shot down if not those from up high and then a company is purchased in the future to do that exact idea. Or, that idea is barked down with insults of "why hasn't this been done yet" and orders to get it done yesterday. Money is spent with zero regard and partners are completely taken advantage of. Those that have been around long have been beaten down and learned to stay quiet. Pay and benefits are horrible. I could go on and on. Save yourself the effort unless you have an opportunity to get something that you don't want to stay in too long that will catapult you to your next opportunity.

Pros

InComm has a lot of exciting things going on. One is never board with their job. Great opportunity to stretch and learn new things. My team is fantastic. Good people who care and desire to be the best they can. Management team I had cared about the well being of its team members.

Cons

The Salary is weak. The PTO is weaker. The communication of projects and directives could be improved.

Pros

First off, this review only applies to InComm Digital Solutions, which is an acquisition of InComm based in Portland. Some advantages: - Product owners know what they're doing, and communicate well. Development teams are exposed to the needs and use cases of the customers we're building software for. This prevents developers building products for use cases that don't exist. - Financially stable. The company is steadily growing, and has a diverse set of customers (which reduces egg-in-one-basket risks). - Embraces fairly modern technologies as of this time. ASP.NET Core/ReactJS, application and database monitoring/telemetry, free MSDN licenses + PluralSight + ReSharper, fault-tolerant messaging across distributed services, automated deploys/rollbacks that safely ship from developer boxes to production in minutes, plus a DevOps culture that encourages teams to be responsible for building, deploying, monitoring, and ensuring uptime of their software.

Cons

- It's finance, which is not everyone's cup of tea. - The parent company (InComm, based out of Atlanta GA) is slow (2 month release cycles are not unheard of), disorganized, and backwards. - A few legacy applications that are making little money, and costing a good deal of developer maintenance time that's not equally distributed across teams.
